Multi-Service Chilled Beams

Frenger designs, manufactures and supplies Multi-Service Chilled Beam (MSCB) solutions typically for high-profile buildings such as government buildings, and owner occupied buildings given the low running costs (extremely energy efficient), long life expectancy (30 plus years), very low maintenance and the optimum in thermal comfort and well-being for the buildings occupants.

Frenger's Multi-Service Chilled Beam units are 100% prefabricated and tested off-site in a controlled environment. They offer a 'plug n play' solution that can provide water driven cooling, heating, lighting, fresh air delivery, sensors, controls and many other building services (comparable with sprinkler systems).

Frenger's Active Multi-Service Chilled Beam units use a supply of fresh ventilation air to draw warm room air to the unit's cooling battery. The warmer room air is cooled as it passes through the finned tube cooling batteries, which comprise of aluminium fins with copper channels through which cool water passes. The heat of the room is taken in through the aluminium fins, and transferred into the water circuit through the copper tube and on to a central chiller.

Frenger's Passive Multi-Service Chilled Beam represents the very latest development in passive beam technology. X-Wing® employs connective and radiant cooling principles and is designed to deliver high cooling duties (up to 170 W/m² when concealed behind S5046 perforated metal ceiling) with no noise and minimal air movement.
